Mission

Why we exist

To empower boys, restore the dignity of men, and strengthen families through education, mentorship, advocacy, psychosocial support, and community development, promoting positive masculinity, responsible fatherhood, gender equality, healthy relationships, and resilient families.

Vision

Where we are headed

A society where every boy and man is empowered, valued, and equipped to reach their full potential, where men's dignity is restored, and strong, healthy families thrive as the foundation of vibrant, sustainable communities.

Motto

What guides us daily

Empowering boys, restoring men's dignity, strengthening families. This is the thread running through every program we run and every family we support.

Our history

How we got here

Male and Family Welfare was established in response to the growing need for programs and services that support boys, men, and families in our communities. Recognising the social, economic, and emotional challenges facing many men and families, the organisation was founded with a vision of creating a society where boys and men are empowered to reach their full potential and contribute positively to their families and communities.

From its inception, we have been committed to empowering boys, restoring men's dignity, and strengthening families through education, mentorship, advocacy, and community based support programs. We believe strong families are the foundation of healthy communities, and that empowering men and boys plays a vital role in social stability and development.

Current leadership of Male and Family Welfare at the Springs office

As a community based organisation, we work to address positive masculinity, fatherhood involvement, mental health awareness, gender based violence prevention, youth development, life skills, and family cohesion, through partnerships, community outreach, and capacity building initiatives that create safe spaces for individuals and families to access support, guidance, and opportunities for growth.

Today, we continue to build our presence and impact by working alongside community members, stakeholders, and partners who share our vision of empowered boys, dignified men, and resilient families, guided by our core values of respect, integrity, empowerment, and inclusivity.
